Answer:

Here, both equations intersect at a common point . That's why it will have a unique solution.

For given condition the correct situation is

"They will meet at one point"

Given:

Mehul is walking along the path joining (-1,1) and (1,2)

Neha is walking along the path joining (0,3) and (2,-2).

To find:

Which situation is correct for given condition

They will not meet at any point

They will move on the same path

They will meet at one point

None of these

Solution:

Given

Mehul is walking along the path joining (-1,1) and (1,2)

Neha is walking along the path joining (0,3) and (2,-2)

Let the given points A (-1,1); B (1,2) and P (0,3); Q (2,-2)

Take a graph paper and point out the given points A, B and P, Q as given in picture.

Now joint the points A, B and P, Q and draw line AB and PQ

Here, AB and PQ are two straight lines

we can observe that the point of intersection of obtained lines is only one point i.e (0.5, 1.75)

Therefore, we conclude that Mehul and Neha will not move on same point but they will meet at point i.e point of intersection of their respective paths

Therefore,

For given condition the correct situation is

"They will meet at one point'
