Melting of candle wax to explore states of matter:

Anything which has mass and occupies space is called as matter and it exists in three different states namely Solid, liquid and gas. At appropriate temperature and pressure, these states get interchanged. When we melt a candle we can find the conversion of solid into liquid and again liquid into solid.

The candle is a solid substance. When we light the wick of the candle, due to heat from the wick, the candle starts to melt and gets converted into liquid. When the wick is putt off, the liquid gets again converted into solid due to difference in the temperature.

Answer:

Explanation:

When the candle burns there is a change of state, wax is solid and when it gets heated, it undergoes the change of state and converts into liquid.

When the heat is removed, the liquid wax again solidifies thus again there is a change of state from liquid back to solid.
