The solid B is expected to have stronger forces of attraction between its constituent particles. Since its particles have strong force of attraction it requires more energy to separate them far apart and convert them in liquid.
Liquids have molecules more far than solids. In Solid B more (heat) energy is required to overcome the force of attraction move the particles far apart compared to Solid x.

The solid (B) have stronger forces of attraction between its constituent particles . Because if melting point is high it means it is taking more time for changing state due to that attraction , we can change solid state only by breaking intermolecular force of attraction.
