As we all know that lok sabha and the rajya sabha are the 2 houses of parliament .so Member of lok sabha are elected directly by the people and general elections held every five years.

Members of Rajya sabha are elected by the electoral college of the elected members of the state assembly with a system of proportional representation by single transferable vote system.

Member of legislative assembly are directly elected by the people of the state.
