CLASS 10 EXPLANATION-Mendeleev's Periodic Law states that the physical and the chemical properties of the elements are a periodic function of their atomic masses. Mendeleev arranged the elements known at that time in order of increasing atomic masses and this arrangement was called periodic table.

CLASS 11 EXPLANATION-Mendeleev in 1869, proposed periodic law. It states that. The physical and chemical properties of elements are a periodic function of their atomic weights i.e. when the elements are arranged in order of their increasing atomic weight, elements with similar properties are repeated after certain regular intervals.
