Menstruation often commonly known as periods is caused when the ovary prepares eggs for fusion with sperms but they end up unfertilised, it happens because after a fixed period of fixed days the uterus prepares itself for the fertilisation of egg but when it is left unfertilised the the inner linings consisting of rich amount of blood capillaries breaks and comes out with further blood and cause sudden pain sometimes.
