Given : area of a Trapezium is 28 cm², and two parallel sides are 8cm and 60dm respectively,

To find :  the altitude

Solution:

dm = decimeters

1 m = 10 dm

1 dm = 10 cm

=> 60dm = 60 * 10  = 600 cm

area of a Trapezium  = (1/2)( sum of parallel side) * altitude

=>  (1/2)(8 + 600)* h = 28

=> (1/2)( 608)* h = 28

=> 304h = 28

=> h = 28/304

=> h = 0.0921 cm

altitude = 0.0921 cm

dm = decimeter

1 dm = 10dm

60dm = 60 × 10 = 600 cm

___________________________________

Area of a Trapezium = (1/2)( sum of parallel side)×altitude

altitude=(1/2)(8 + 600)×h = 28

=(1/2)( 608)×h = 28

h = 28=304h = 28

=h = 28/304

= h = 0.0921 cm

Altitude = 0.0921 cm
