yes mesnturation take place when the egg is not fertilized then it enter into the uretus and break the inner lining of uretus and come outside the body with the blood flow through the vaginia .

fertilization of an egg happens BEFORE the shedding of the endometrial lining of the uterus at the onset of menstruation.
if the egg has been fertilized then there will be no mentstruation for approximately 38+ weeks ...
