1.disease free plant cannot be grown

2.it prevent species genetic diversity

amitsingal: the plants gradually lose their vigour as there is no longer genetic variation . they are prone to disease that are specific to the species

only same variety of plant is produced no new variety is introduced
the plants which are raised through vegetative propagation still suffer from diseases

srirammaxx: no in case a virus spread in that area then the new plant also get that disease it means no disease free varaity can be obtained
