Differences between moist deciduous and dry deciduous forests are as follows:

found in areas with annual rainfall between 100-200 cm

teak , bamboo, sal, sandalwood, kusum mulberry trees are found here

densed forest and not many of the area cleared for grazing purposes

dry deciduous forest

found in areas with annual rainfall between 70-100 cm

teal,sal, neem, peepal trees are found here

large areas have been cleared for grazing.

it covers 30% of the India forest areas
