(a) It is located in the cytoplasm next to the endoplasmic reticulum and near the cell nucleus. While many types of cells contain only one or several Golgi apparatus, plant cells can contain hundreds. The Golgi apparatus, or complex, plays an important role in the modification and transport of proteins within the cell.

(b). The nucleus is the information centre of the cell and is surrounded by a nuclear membrane in all eukaryotic... A cell normally contains only one nucleus. Under some conditions, however, the nucleus divides but the cytoplasm does not.

(c). The vacuole in cells have three main functions which are to provide the plant with support or rigidity, a storage area for nutrients and waste matter and can decompose complex molecules, according to British Society for Cell Biology. In plant cells, the vacuole also can store water.

(d). The plasma membrane, also called the cell membrane, is the membrane found in all cells that separates the interior of the cell from the outside environment. In bacterial and plant cells, a cell wall is attached to the plasma membrane on its outside surface.

(2) Answer - Cell membrane helps to enclose the cell organelles and cytosol inside a cell. Cell membrane also helps ions to transfer from the inside to the outside of the cell and vice versa. A cell wall is a ridgid, protective layer and it covers the cell membrane.
