Hey friend here is your answer ⤵⤵
Dam is a barrier across flowing water that obstructs , directs or retards the flow of water . Dams are now called Multipurpose projects because of their wide applications
But construction of large dams also arouses many problems . These are -
➡Environmental problems : Dams submerge the Existing flora and fauna and leads to their decomposition over a period of time .
➡Economic problems - Dams swallow huge amount of public money , without giving the satisfactory results
➡ Social problems - Constructing Dams leads to displacement of local people and they have to give up their existing land and resources for the betterment of the nation .
Hope it helps you ✌✌
