Alluvial soil:

1)These soils are deposited by mainly three river systems, namely ganga, Brahmaputra and Godavari

2)These soils are known to be best soils for cultivation and cover the entire northern region.

3)These soils are rich in nutrients such as calcium carbonate, phosphorus etc.

4)These soils are ideal for the growth of paddy, maize, wheat etc

Black soils:

1)These soils are also known as regur soils.

2)climatic conditions alongwith parent rock material are responsible for the formation of black soil

3)These soils are rich in many nutrients but has lower phosphoric content.

4)In summer they develop deep cracks and require proper irrigation..

Hope it helped!!!!
