1. Distance is the longest path, displacement is shortest path

2.distance never be 0 , displacement may be 0

3distance never be negative, displacement may be negative

Heya friend,

Here is the answer:

DISTANCE:

* Distance is the length of actual path travelled by an object between its initial position and final position.

* It is a scalar quantity.

* The magnitude of the distance can never be zero.

* Distance can be greater than the displacement.

DISPLACEMENT:

* Displacement is the shortest distance travelled by an object from the initial position and final position.

* It is a vector quantity.

* The magnitude of the displacement can be zero.

* Displacement can never be greater than distance.

Hope my answer helps you :)

Shobana
