Physical change

1) Temporary and easily reversible.

2) No new substance is formed.

3) No change in mass

4) A physical change involves very little to no absorption of energy.

Chemical change

1) Permanent and sometimes reversible.

2) New substance is formed.

3) The weight of the substance is altered.

4) During a chemical reaction, absorption and evolution of energy take place.

Example :

Some examples of physical change are freezing of water, melting of wax, boiling of water, etc.

A few examples of chemical change are digestion of food, burning of coal, rusting, etc.
