1. The Rastrakuta expanded their empire by including large parts of Southern and Central India.
2.The Rastrakuta build many Shiva and Vishnu temples.
3. The splendid Kailash temple of Ellora carved out of a single rock was built by the Rastrakuta king Krishna I.
4.The Rastrakutas ruled successfully for two centuries. They faught many battles with the Gurjara-Prathiharas and the Palas.
5. The last Rastrkuta king Karka II tried to capture Kanauj and was overpowered by the Chalukya ruler Tailapa II in 973 AD.
