Their adaptions are as follows :

1 ) Polar bears have a greater amount of fat and furs , which ultimately results into the increase number of adipose tissue , thus protecting them from cold weather by providing heat insulation .

2) Their body design is such that there ratio of surface area to their body volume is comparatively lesser than other animals , this ensuring least heat loss .

3 ) They have evolved and adapted the capability of swimming . Thus , being a fast swimmer along with sharp jaws and claws ; ultimately increases their ability to hunt prey .

4) They have adapted their movements and actions by evolving a large feet from a very long time ago , thus increasing theri grip on icy surfaces by properly distributing their load .
