Pepsin needs an acidic medium to act while trypsin needs a basic medium..

1. It is secreted from gastric glands of the stomach.
2. It catalyzes in acidic medium.
Trypsin:
1. It is secreted from the exocrine pancreas.
2. It catalyzes in alkaline medium.
