Answer:

The constitutional provisions which make India a ‘secular state’ are as follows;

(i) The Constitution of India does not give special recognition to any religion and there is no State religion in India, unlike, Christianity in America, Buddhism in Sri Lanka etc.

(ii) All individuals and communities have been given freedom to practice, profess and propagate any religion.

(iii)The Constitution of India puts ban on the discrimination on grounds of religion.

Heya,

The following are provisions of our constitution that make India a secular state:

1)There is no official religion of India,making it a secular state.

2)Everyone in this country is free to preach and spread any religion until it doesn't hurt the religious sentiments of others.

3)Our constitution has made provisions to limit discrimination on the basis of religion.

I hope it helps you???!!!!
