The three essential elements for making a successful democracy are the

i) Executive,

ii) Legislature and

iii) the Judiciary.

Executive consists of the bureaucrats and the complete state machinery that is used for a smooth performance and roll-out of government schemes.

Legislature consists of the political class who are responsible for making laws either in state legislatures or the Parliament.

Judiciary involves all judges and the judicial mechanism, right from the sessions court to the Supreme court.

It is essential that all these three wings of the government work in tandem so that a democracy can function successfully.
