Solution:
The functions of the liver are:
**It secretes a fluid called bile. Bile juice plays an important role in emulsification of fats and creating an alkaline medium which is essential for the action of pancreatic enzymes.
**Liver regulate blood sugar level in the body by retaining the excess glucose and converting it into glycogen which is stored in the liver cells.
**It removes excess amino acid by the process of deamination.
**It produces red blood cells in the embryo.
