Mention any three major impact of European colonialism on the practice of shifting cultivation.

The impact of colonialism can be explained as follows :-

In shifting cultivation, forests were burnt and hence there was a danger of the fire being spread which would destroy the timber. For this reason government banned shifting cultivation.

Farmers practicing were forcibly displaced from the forests and had to search for new occupation.

SOme farmers even tried to rebel against such practice of the colonial government.
