Similarities between himalayan and peninsular rivers are -

1. majority of the rivers of himalayas and the indian peninsula drain into the bay of bengal in the east.

2. rivers of both the areas receive water from rain. additionally, himalayan rivers also get water from the melting glaciers.

3. both, himalayan and peninsular rivers have a huge potential for hydroelectric projects.

(i) Himalayan rivers make delta such as Ganga-Brahmaputra delta. Likewise most of the peninsular rivers such as the Mahanadi, the Krishna, the Godavari, the Kaveri make delta.

(ii) Some Himalayan rivers drain into Bay Of Bengal such as Ganga and Brahmaputra and some such as river Indus drain into the Arabian Sea. Likewise most of the peninsular rivers such as Mahanadi, the Godavari, the Krishna , the Kaveri etc. drain into the Bay Of Bengal and only the Narmada and the Tapi drain into the Arabian Sea.

(iii) Himalayan rivers may have many tributaries, in the same wya peninsular rivers also have many tributaries.

For example, Tributaries of the Ganga are the Yamuna, Ghaghara, Kosi, etc. Tributaries of the Godavari are the Purna, the Wardha, the Wainganga etc.

Hope it helps......
