Characteristics of angiosperm

1)seeds are enclosed by a protective structure called fruit
2)Xylem possesses vessel while phloem contain sieve tubes and companion cell
3) pollination occurs by wind ,water and animals

Angio means covered and sperma means seed
2.The seeds develop inside an organ which is modified to become a fruit.
3.These are also called flowering plants.
4.Plant embryos have structures called cotyledons.
5.Cotyledons are called seed leaves.They emerge and become green when the seed germinates.
6.It is divided into two subgroups.
7.*Monocots-They are plants having a single cotyledon.
-They are called monocotyledonous.
-They have fibrous root system
-They have leaves with parallel venation.
ex:cereals,grasses
*Dicots-They are plants with seeds having two cotyledons.
-They have tap root system.
-They have leaves with reticulate venation.
ex:mango,sunflower. ..
