Abstract
Nepal is located in the central part of the Himalayas. Diverse plants and animals, rich culture, and the poor economy of the country, with its varied physiographic and climatic conditions, need an appropriate conservation technique to balance the development and conservation of nature and natural resources. Current conservation efforts can be effective if they are incorporated with successful indigenous approaches. Local community participation is necessary for the success of long-term projects such as conservation programs.
