"Two indicators of poverty:

  1. Unemployment: If a person in a society is not having any job to earn money he/she will either convert himself/herself as beggar or robbers. On the other hand, if the majority of people remain jobless in a society it means that the income of the country is less and indicates that the country is facing the "problem of poverty".
  2. Illiteracy: Due to lack of proper education, the illiterates are prone to ill-health, deprived of getting all sorts of enjoyment obtained by rich and literate people. They will also not develop as well as will not allow their country also to develop and acts as a cause of poverty."
