Two of the methods used by Britishers to increase the land revenue in India is mentioned below :

- Zamindari System

: One of the most popular system introduced in1793 where the zamindars collected the taxes from the peasants.

- Rotwari System

: In this system the British Government collected the amount of taxes directly from the peasants as they had given the ownership rights to the peasants.

Although there were total three methods to increase the land revenue ,i.e, Zamindari System , Rotwari System and Mahalwari system.
