In 1915, Gandhi returned to India, where he supported the Home Rule movement , and became leader of the Indian National Congress. In 1930, he led a landmark march to the sea to collect salt in symbolic defiance of the government monopoly.

In the year of 1915, Mahatma Gandhi returned back to India to support the Home Rule movement.

Later he became the leader of the INC (Indian National Congress). In 1930, he led the landmark march to sea for collecting the salt to symbolically defiance the monopoly of the Government.

He led several movements like Quit India movement etc. seeking the freedom of India.
