Explanation:
There are four natural states of matter: Solids, liquids, gases and plasma. The fifth state is the man-made Bose-Einstein condensates. In a solid, particles are packed tightly together so they don't move much.

Answer:
There are three states of matter.
They are :
- Solid
Examples : A block of wood, box, table a bottle, etc.
- Liquid
Examples: Water, juices , oil etc.
- Gas
Examples : Oxygen, nitrogen , carbon etc.
Explanation:
Solid:
- In the solid, the particles are packed together closely in an orderly manner.
- The particles in solid are close to each other.
- The intermolecular force binding them is strong and so the particles can neither move away from each other nor change their position relative to each other.
- And that's why they have a definite size and shape.
Liquid:
- In a liquid, the particles are packed more loosely and randomly than they are in a solid.
- The intermolecular space is Greater so the intermolecular force is less than that in a solid.
- And that's why they don't have a particular shape but has a definite volume and can flow.
Gas:
- In gases, the particles are so far apart so that there is hardly any intermolecular force between them.
- They don't have a definite volume nor a particular shape and they are highly compressible.
