When an electric current is exceed or overloaded the permits value of a particular circuit the heat is generated by the current while running through a fuse causes it to melt state, which will cut the connection of the circuit and thus prevent any misfortune things.

Electric fuse works on the heating effect of electric current. when electricity passes through the wires it creates heat. fuse is made up of a low melting point.
