Gandhi ji always condemned sports like cricket and hockey.
Mahatma Gandhi believes that colonial sports like cricket and hockey were not suitable for Indian becoz of the following reasons;
He believes that these games were not adequate for developing a trained mind and body.
These games were imported to Indian by British and were meant for privileged class. Hence they could not represent the people of India.
