Bread Moulds (Rhizopus) and Mushrooms (Agaricus) belong to the kingdom Fungi. Fungi have saprophytic modes of nutrition and perform extracellular digestion. They convert the complex (mostly dead and decaying) organic matter when provided suitable conditions, to absorbable simpler organic compounds which are then absorbed through the root-like structures called Mycelium.
