(a) The three events that occur during the process of photosynthesis are :
(1) Abosption of light energy by chlorophyll.
(2) Conversion of light energy to chemical energy (in the form of ATP and NADPH) and splitting of water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen.
(3) Reductions of carbon dioxide to carbohydrates (carbon assimilation).
