Martin luther king and Abraham Lincoln have same purposes for the speeches.
The only different is that they are targeted their speeches in varied ways.
King was influenced by Mahatma Gandhi, so he wanted to get the freedom of black people as Gandhi.
Lincoln followed the same contractual obligation.
Also, the main of Lincoln was to fully abolish slavery. Both Lincoln and King have shared their messages in every speech.
