In comparison, animal cells have a cell membrane as their outer cover .This provides flexibility to animal cells due to which they show a large variation in shape.Moreover plant cells have plastids which are absent in animal cells.
Plant cells generally have large vacuoles whereas animal cells either lack vacuoles or have very small vacuoles.
