There are mainly four east flowing rivers – Krishna, Godavari, Mahanadi and Kaveri. They do not flow through troughs and form many deltas. These rivers drain into the Bay of Bengal. Some landform characteristics of these rivers are deep gorges, beheaded plateau valleys, plateau outliers and laterite tablelands.
