#These days, there are various issues in big cities that the residents have. According to the development of modern society, these problems seem to be getting worse. In this essay, I will look at the problems, and try to propose some solutions.

I will start by looking at the traffic problem. There is a lot of traffic congestion in a metropolitan area. The exhaust gas like PM 2.5 could be a cause of air pollution. As a result, many people suffer from respiratory disease such as Asthma. A solution is for the government to impose a congestion charge on cars entering the centre of the city.

Second, there is the problem of a high price in a daily life. In large cities, the average prices of goods tend to be more expensive than those in rural areas. Therefore, people have to spend a large proportion of their salary on clothes, foods and lends. In addition, a majority of people cannot afford to buy their house in the city, so they need to go to their offices from the suburbs, which means that they are forced to take a few hours to commute every day. To tackle this issue, the government should raise the income of workers by improving the economic situation.

Another problem is the mental health issue. Urban people are likely to be depressed because they would feel a lot of pressures such as the competition of their work and study. A solution is for the government to make more amusements to alleviate their stress.

In conclusion, large cities have the serious problems in terms of the traffic, the price and the psychological state. In my opinion, the government should have the major roles to solve them.
