1) Battle of Buxar was fought in year 1764
2) The new Nawab Mir Qasim tried to free himself from their control so he dismissed the court officials who favoured the British he hired European experts to train his Army he also abolished all duties on internal trade so that both Indian and British merchant could trade on equal terms
3)These steps were not acceptable to the British so they declared war against Mir Qasim and defeated him
4) He fled to Awadh and formed an Alliance with Shuja Ud Daula the Nawab of Awadh and Shah Alam to the Mughal emperor
5)The combined armies of these allies made the British forces in Buxar on 22nd October 1764 the British was victorious.
