over the years, India has witnessed a reduction in poverty but still a lot remains to be achieved. One of the major issues that needs to be addressed is the wide disparity between the rural areas. Efforts are required for a more balanced development in both the rural areas and urban areas. In addition, the focus should be on the concept of "human poverty" rather than simply poverty. In this regard, aspects as availability of education, health care, freedom from caste and gender inequality, etc. must be given due attention.

Government of India is Introducing policies to finish the poverty but this is not enough, implementing them is the most difficult task and there are not enough measures with which there can be a kept a track of how the programmes are showing results. And since people cannot be trusted which implementing the programmes, as there is a lot of corruption so people working towards these programmes cannot be trusted.

There is another issue of inequality and discrimination which can lead to the results which are not beneficial for a lot of people. So a lot of people can be deprived of the basic necessities because of this issue.
