Government of India is Introducing policies to finish the poverty but this is not enough, implementing them is the most difficult task and there are not enough measures with which there can be a kept a track of how the programmes are showing results. And since people cannot be trusted which implementing the programmes, as there is a lot of corruption so people working towards these programmes cannot be trusted.

There is another issue of inequality and discrimination which can lead to the results which are not beneficial for a lot of people. So a lot of people can be deprived of the basic necessities because of this issue.

So precautionary measures should be taken in order to keep a track that everyone should get the equal treatment and there should be no discrimination.

Despite the fact that India has witnessed a significant reduction in poverty but still a lot yet to be achieved. There are some more challenges ahead of India that we have to overcome. These are as follows,

1) The progress achieved is this field is very limited and the masses, which encompasses a huge section of society that is below the poverty line, are either remained ignored or do not get the benefit from this progress. Hence they are still deprived. Also, efforts are required for a more balanced development in both the rural areas and urban areas.

2) Corruption is prevalent in our country and it makes extremely difficult for rural and urban poor and needy people to get the real benefit from the poverty alleviation program. The benefits circulate among the other section of society which do not need any assistance of this kind.

3) Illiteracy or less education prevents the poor people from knowing their rights. Ignorance, also prevents the well to do people from acknowledging the rights of the poor person to a better life and prevent them from helping the poor in their betterment.

4) Our government's focus should also be on other aspects such as availability of education to all, better healthcare facility, freedom from caste and gender inequality etc.
