when the Pollen grains is deposited on the stigma of a flower it starts germinating by forming Pollen tube the tube grows downward to the style and enters the ovule where is best to release the male gamets this result in the formation of zygote and then develops into embryo and at last to foetus

The changes that occur in a flower after fertilisation are as follows :-
- Shedding of sepals, petals, stamens, style and stigma.
- The Zygote develops into embryo.
- The fertilised ovule develops into seed.
- The wall of the overtime produces pericarp (wall of fruit).
And at last, the ripened ovary along with the pericarp and seed, becomes the fruit.
