The characteristics of an image formed by a plane mirrir are as follows :-
• The image will be virtual ( it can not be put on screen )
• The image will be erect ( it means the head part will be up ) .
• It will show the phenomenon of Lateral inversion ( it means if you put any word in front of it then the left side will appear at right and right side will appear at left ) .
To see phenomenon of lateral inversion , just go in front of it and raise your right hand and see which hand is getting raised in image .
• The image distance from mirror is equal to the distance between the object and mirror .
