The ancient regime was the division of people in France before the French Revolution.

There were three estate or different type of people:

First estate-It consisted of church officials and clergy men.

Second estate-It consisted the noble families.

Third estate-It consisted 95% of the population.It consisted of middle class people like teachers, doctors, lawyers, merchants,traders, manufacturers and poor people like peasents,farmers,artisians and potters.
