Mention the colour of FeSo4,7H2O crystals. How does this colour change upon heating?give balanced chemical equation for the change.

colour of FeSO4 is green..
It's colour changes to brown due to the formation of Fe2O3 ( ferric oxide) after decomposition ....
2FeSO4--- Fe2O3 + SO2 + SO3

FeSO4.7H2O is blue-green in colour.The anydrous form of FeSO4 is colorless which means there are no water crystals in the salt. The green color of the aqueous solution of FeSO4 is because of the water molecules present in the solution n also its a decomposition reaction
