The major crisis of rural China is the out migration which means leaving agricultural activities and heading towards the city.

China which once used to be an agricultural country is now turning into an  industrial one.  With less labors required in agriculture sector due to industrialization ,many have left to cities in search of job in factories.Due to mechanization higher production is achieved by deploying lesser people in factories resulting in further unemployment. Farmers mortgage their real estate for  buying machines for ramping up their production which help in achieving the  economies of scale.
