Stability: A measure for an object to displace or topple when pushed or moved an external force is referred to as stability.

Stable objects are difficult to displace while unstable objects topple very easily.

The stability of an object is dependent on two factors:

  • The base width of the object
  • The center of gravity

Stability is directly proportional to the width of the base and is inversely proportional to the position of the center of gravity.
