when the author and grandmother were in village they both went to school with each other and spend a lot of time with each other.the grandmother used to help him in his studies she used to tell the author about the God scriptures which was in his homework. thereafter thereafter when they went in the City there was a drastic change. they shared a common.the author's grandmother Soham of silently but kissing him on his forehead when he went abroad and celebrated his return five years later.

In the first phase, author's relationship with his grandmother began from his village.His grandmother used to wake him up in the morning,gave him breakfast to eat and used to help him to get ready for school.

In the second phase,author's relationship began when they came to the city and join the English school.Neither the grandmother could go to the school with him in his studies.

In the third phase,their relationship came when when the author began to study in university and reserved a separate room.Meanwhile the grandmother rarely talked to the author.
