Mendel studies different traits and classified them as either recessive or dominant.
According to the Mendel, traits are passed on to the families in various patterns.
The inheritance of any character is regarded as dominant as it can be observed in most of the generation.
While when a certain characteristic disappears in one generation & reappears in another generation, it is termed as a recessive trait.
Hence, when the parents don’t show the phenotype whereas the children exhibit it, it is considered to be an example of recessive trait.
