Explanation:

The Purvanchal Range is the eastern extension of the Himalayas lying in the easternmost parts of India. These mountains are composed of sedimentary rock. They are covered with thick forests. The Purvanchal Range comprises the Naga Hills, Manipur Hills, Mizo Hills and Patkai Hills. The Purvanchal Range runs through the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram. Saramati peak is the highest peak of the Naga Hills.
