1.They can keep their body temperature constant. So also known as homeothermal.
2.They maintain their body temperature higher than their environment by some metabolic processes like contraction of muscles, friction produced by flow of blood etc.
3.They have a higher basal metabolic rate, and also a greater capacity to increase their metabolic rate.
4.They usually have well-developed insulation in order to retain body heat.
